Anywho, this week I saw a video that was originally posted on YouTube about 3 years ago. It was interesting to see a country's government go to such lengths to force persons to maintain a healthy weight.
Regardless of how you may feel about it, I actually think this isn't a bad idea. This decision is actually one that benefits both the country and the individual. Persons get to live longer healthier lives, and the country gets a healthier population with less hypertension, obesity, heart problems, etc.
On a similar note, yesterday at the office I saw a video done earlier this year about a very tiny country with a very big problem. They have a population of less than 10,000 persons and because of fast food, more than 90% of the adult population is overweight and half of the adult population suffers from type 2 diabetes......THAT'S JUST CRAZY!
Now it's not that I have anything against persons who are fat. I understand that some persons are born that way and I appreciate the idea of us all being unique and different. If you consider the similar thread in both stories you'll notice that the issue here is fast food!
Don't get me wrong....fast food isn't a bad thing.....it's just bad in abundance. Believe it or not it is possible to go into a fast food joint and pick the healthiest options and still enjoy it.
I'm just telling you like it is. Your health is your business and it's your responsibility to watch your diet, maintain a healthy weight and check in regularly with your doctor to make sure everything's working as it should.
Try a healthy lifestyle instead of putting yourself in a position to be 'at risk.'
