about me & my blog

Born and raised in St Andrew Jamaica, I am fresh out of college and feeling just about ready to take on all that the world has to offer. I attended the Immaculate Conception High School and moved to the University of Technology where I completed a BSc Child & Adolescent Development with a minor in Early Childhood Education.

Like many other persons my age, I am from an average sized middle-class family, I've had issues with my siblings, complained about things I can't change, enjoyed night's out with friends, tackled each difficult situation with faith and a prayer and been unendingly grateful for every sacrifice my family has made for me.

Currently I am a host on HYPE Tv, I write for the TEENage Observer, hold the title Miss Jamaica Global 2011 and I plan and execute charity initiatives. Outside of 'all' that, I enjoy the Jamaican nightlife, the beach, cooking and helping out friends with various projects of their own.

Pretty much, I'm just a simpleton!

Every now and again I'll make my social commentary on a popular issue or something that randomly pops into my mind. We'll call those my random thoughts. Other times, I'll recommend something that I think is just great. It could be a product, place, event, person or just about anything else. I'll categorise these as the thing you should check out.

In regards to other things, I enjoy trying my hand at different stuff. In all fairness they do say that if you want something done right you should do it yourself! I guess I can somewhat agree, because for it to be 'right' it would probably mean that it's done just the way you like it, costs less or takes less time to get it done. I'm definitely gonna share some tips and tricks so you can see how I get some stuff done my way. It may be related to food, decor, clothing and accessories or some other random thing that may just make you say 'hmmm that's kinda cool.'

Now while I tell you about stuff to check out and a few DIY projects, I also plan tell you what's on the menu. Although I don't eat much, I think it's only fair that whatever I do eat tastes good! I often get into experiment mode in the kitchen, so now and again I'll add a spin to an everyday dish, or try something new. Maybe too I'll recommend a specific food item that I bought.

Because I really can't help myself, I'll be quite eager to share with you updates on charity projects whether spearheaded by my team or another group.

All these things may be tied into my blog challenges that I take on every now and again to add a little more spice to the blog.

With all this said, I hope you enjoy my blog! Feel free to send me your comments =D
